The High School History Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering a dynamic and engaging history curriculum to students that instills a love for historical and social knowledge, and also fosters an appreciation for civic engagement, global awareness, and critical analysis of societal issues. This role involves instructing students in various themes and topics in various disciplines, such as history, geography, civics, economics, and sociology, as well as providing opportunities for deep exploration of historical concepts in order to set students up for success beyond high school. The successful candidate fosters a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student understanding and proficiency utilizing a standards-aligned curriculum. The High School History Teacher
 will utilize assessment data to determine progress against instructional objectives and will utilize instructional strategies and differentiated instruction to support all students to achieve their goals. In this position, the High School History Teacher will also work collaboratively with staff members, administrators, families, and other stakeholders to support students to achieve. The High School History Teacher will serve as a knowledgeable expert in the subject matter, employing and implementing a comprehensive science curriculum. The successful candidate will also possess effective communication skills, adaptability, and a zest for helping students succeed in history while cultivating students' understanding of the complexities of the social world.
